Frequently Asked Questions

This section focuses on answering general questions you may have about the graphic design process. If you have any other questions that are not covered here, please feel free to shoot me a quick message using the contact form on this page.

Why should I hire you?

I really like the idea of helping new (or existing) businesses brain storm and come up with a new image, logo and branding. I understand the fact that a new business is like your baby and that you want to make the right impression from the beginning. I can’t emphasize enough the fact that if you start with a sub-par (crappy) logo/brand,  you will have to go back a few years later and re-do everything: logo, business cards, letterheads, signage, website, etc…

How long does it take to create a new logo?

In general, the logo design process can take a couple of weeks or more. Thankfully, I am almost fanatical about keeping on top of things and delivering your designs as promptly as possible.

What kind of files will I receive?

Once we’ve finalized the logo design and all payments are completed, I will place high resolution vector and raster files on my server for you to download at your convenience. The file types delivered are:

  • High Resolution JPG format in different sizes
  • Logo in PDF Format
  • High Res Transparent PNG file format (ideal for web stuff)
  • Original Layered Corel Draw file
  • Layered EPS Vector file that can be imported into Adobe applications

What forms of payment do you take?

All payments will be invoiced by email and can be paid using your credit card or PayPal Account.

Payments can be made by check but this will significantly slow down the process.

What is your payment policy?

For all graphic design projects, half of the total invoice is due before starting any work, and the other half once we are finished with all changes.

So, I want a new website...what do I need?

There are three basic things that you need to have in place in order to bring your project online:

  1. A registered domain (example: yourdomain.com)
  2. A hosting plan with a hosting company like godaddy.com
  3. A publishing platform like HTML or WordPress

What platform do you use for building websites?

Even though I can publish your website using HTML or other methods, I prefer using WordPress because it gives you, the client, the ability to update and manage your website once the design and publish process is completed.

What about SEO?

All  websites are designed, built and set up with SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This alone will help your web site rank up in search engines like Google or Bing and make sure your website is among some of the first ones that come up in search results.

Can I track who visits my webpage?

Yes! All websites are set up using  Statcounter and Google Analytics which allows you to see all kinds of information and data about your visitors, like where they came from, what keywords used in Google led them to your site, what pages they visited, amount of time on the site and a million other bits of information that you can dissect if you are into stats and that kind of thing.

How much does it cost!?

Price of logo and website design will vary depending on the complexity of your project, it can range from a few hundred to a few thousand. Service prices do not include the price of printing and it is for design only. I can recommend some online printing companies that I have used before.

I am a student looking for an internship!

For the moment, I am only doing freelance work for clients and I am not able to take on any internships.

About Me!

about me

I was born in the US, raised in the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic then moved back to the states in the late 90’s where I made Kentucky my home. I’ve been interested in art and design since early childhood and have more than ten years experience producing technical illustrations. I see every new project as a challenge and opportunity to “solve the puzzle” and deliver something that is unique and memorable.
